 "Frequently Asked Questions"
Q: When do I bring my pet in for regular care? A: Pets should have an annual checkup and come in to be vaccinated according to the schedule the DVM has set up for your pet. If you are a Parkdale Pet Care client you will be reminded of these dates by either a Healthy Pet magazine or a postcard.
Q: If my pet is ill, how do I know if he needs to be seen at the clinic? A: If you are not sure if your pet should be seen, please call the office and ask the receptionist if they would recommend a visit. The staff members that answer the phone are very well trained and knowledgeable. They all have at least several years experience in the veterinary field and will be happy to assist you. Please note that if your pet is having an obvious emergency(ie; difficulty breathing, inability to walk, extreme lethargy, choking, hit by car, bleeding, ingestion of foreign objects or poisons, etc.) just call the clinic and let us know that you are on your way. Come immediately! The call will allow the medical staff time to be ready for the emergency.
Q: What do I do if you are not open? A: There are two emergency clinics that you may call for information or services; Lakeshore Emergency Clinic in Port Washington @ 262-268-7800 OR the Animal Emergency Center @ 414-540-6710 (Glendale). Please check the "What's New" tab for more information on this subject.
Q: May I request a specific doctor or staff member? A: Yes, you may ask at the time you make the appointment for a specific staff member. However, both the doctors and staff are on rotating schedules so if you need to come in on a particular day we may not be able to accommodate your request but we will certainly try.
Q: I don't see Dr Dale as often as I used to, is he available for appointments? A: Dr Dale has cut back on his office hours in order to spend more time on management of the clinic but he is available for appointments. Dr Dale sees appointments on Tuesdays and Thursdays. If you have a question or update information on a pet for Dr Dale you may call the office during business hours and we will relay the message to him and he will respond.
